FAA STC validation for ADS-B Out installation on A320 family Aircraft

Last year , PMV Engineering, our EASA approved Design Organisation (DOA 21J.487), announced its first EASA STC 10064008 for ADS-B OUT in compliance with the last regulation (CS-ACNS) on A320 family Aircraft. Then few mounth later, we completed its ADS-B offer with a second STC 10065222 for B737NG Aircraft, also validated by FAA. Brazilian approval is in-progress.

As a reminder, ADS-B Out signal is used for surveillance purposes on the ground or onboard other aircraft in order to facilitate airborne traffic.

The main topics of this modification are :

• Upgrade of the transponders to DO-260B
• Upgrade of the GPS position source (if required)
• Addition of an ADS-B fail indication in the flight deck.
